Well June, of PlanetJune fame, has announced on Ravelry and her blog about her next Crochet -A-Long (CAL). her last one was the Groundhog Along which went supper well. Now it is Daffodils and Tiny Whales! Yeah these are adorable!
A CAL is most fun when lots of people join in, so if you’re participating, please feel free to blog, tweet, etc about it, and tell all your friends who crochet! And feel free to grab a copy of the Spring CAL button for your blog:
Spring CAL Rules:
- The CAL will run from Monday (April 19) until the end of May, to give everyone plenty of time to make one or both patterns
- A CAL is most fun when lots of people join in, so if you’re participating, please feel free to blog about it, post in other groups, etc (I’ll be making a button this weekend that you can add to your blog if you want - ETA see button at the top of this post!)
- Share, share, share! If you’ve made a whale or daffodil already, add it to the group here for inspiration! And remember to add your CAL projects too and post about them here in this thread :
- You can also post on PlanetJune Crochet flickr group as well.

Daffodils
© June Gilbank 2008Crochet your own daffodils – perfect for spring! Make a bouquet of yarn flowers, or try one in thread as a beautiful pin or accessory. The pattern includes two different designs for petals and centres – mix and match colours and designs to create your own custom bouquet!
Tiny Whale
© June Gilbank 2009This little whale is the perfect size to sit in the palm of your hand! But even better than that: he’s crocheted all in one piece, so there’s no sewing involved to make him!
