Anything Knitted and Crocheted

Welcome to my blog. I hope to blog about my knitting and crocheting as well as everyday life. The patterns that I post are original and as such there is copyright on them. When they are based on another pattern there is a link to the pattern.

My husband and I adopted a beautiful dog named Leo. He is a dachshund and absolutely adorable! we adopted him on June 23, 2010 and he has become the love of our lives.

I love to share patterns that I find along the way or to talk about some of the neatest designers that are out there today, so I love to post links to the designs or the designers.

So grab a cup a and sit and enjoy the blog.

Hope, Love and Optomism

As Insit here and watch the casket that is carrying Jack Layton's body, I am crying. Grieving the loss of an amazing man. The crowds are vast and respectful. So cool to see the orange colors. I feel for Olivia Chow and for Jack's children and grandchild. This is just amazing.

Joy McPhail (former Deputy Premier, BC) is one of the honorary pall bearer. I knew Joy from when I lived in BC. Prime Minister Harper had some really nice things to say. Reverend Hawks (Hox) had the chance to speak with Jack before he passed away.
Jack Layron and Myself-July 2008
My personal connection to Jack was back in 2008. I had convinced my hubby to come and listen to the announcement of Ray Martin candicacy.  Hubby has always been a die hard Liberal supporter. I spoke with Jack and be took the time to speak with my husband. He was so impressed with Jack that he got behind the NDP and "Team Layton" right then and there.

I am going to miss you Jack! We will carry on!
