Anything Knitted and Crocheted

Welcome to my blog. I hope to blog about my knitting and crocheting as well as everyday life. The patterns that I post are original and as such there is copyright on them. When they are based on another pattern there is a link to the pattern.

My husband and I adopted a beautiful dog named Leo. He is a dachshund and absolutely adorable! we adopted him on June 23, 2010 and he has become the love of our lives.

I love to share patterns that I find along the way or to talk about some of the neatest designers that are out there today, so I love to post links to the designs or the designers.

So grab a cup a and sit and enjoy the blog.

So now that I am done my first Oprah...

taking a break on the second one as the hair took the longest to do! Unfortunately Oprah (now called Talk Show Host Doll) by Allison Hoffman (aka CraftyisCool) is no longer available on the Lion Brand site. I found out when I forgot my pattern at home. I went onto the website, with my BlackBerry, to read the pattern on the mobile site (which is awesome IMHO). When I couldn't find the pattern I went to Facebook as usual. Lion Brand Yarns and Crafty Is Cool have pages. Check out Allison's amigurumi designs, which are amazing!

I am amazed over this design and how Allison is able to make the dolls so life like. I am planning on crochet her friend Michael Jackson and I would love to see of I can adapt the design to crochet Dr. Phil. I crocheted Oprah with Lion Brand's Vanna's Choice. I was unable to locate the color Toffee so used Chocolate. I think she turned out really well. She even stands on her own. Check out her blog and her etsy store for more patterns. She is also on Ravelry as well.

So what should I work on next? Well I have few things to get going on.
Oink!

First Susan B. Anderson announced on Facebook, Twitter and the “Friends of Spud & Chloe” Ravelry group, about a really cute pattern called Oink! It is just to cute! Check out the blog for free patterns and information on Susan's other books.

I also have all the Angry Birds to do as well. This is at hubby request as he loves the game and plays it whenever he can. I have the patterns from itsybitsyspider who is another great amigurumi designer.
