About Me

My photo

I am a knitter and crocheter and love to design when I get a chance. I am known as the crazy cat lady with 3 dogs. I am a mother to 3 of my own and step-mother to several. I am also a grandmother.

Anything Knitted and Crocheted

Welcome to my blog. I hope to blog about my knitting and crocheting as well as everyday life. The patterns that I post are original and as such there is copyright on them. When they are based on another pattern there is a link to the pattern.

My husband and I adopted a beautiful dog named Leo. He is a dachshund and absolutely adorable! we adopted him on June 23, 2010 and he has become the love of our lives.

I love to share patterns that I find along the way or to talk about some of the neatest designers that are out there today, so I love to post links to the designs or the designers.

So grab a cup a and sit and enjoy the blog.

So Lion Brand Yarns is starting a new CAL, called The Beach Cardigan CAL

Announcing Our Spring 2010 Crochet-Along!

April 1st, 2010

Each season we host a knit- or crochet-along, a virtual event in which yarncrafters come together here online to work on one pattern together, share their experiences, and to learn together. There’s no need to sign up; simply follow along with the blog posts at your own pace.
We asked you what crochet garment you’d like to make, and you picked our Beach Cover-up/Cardigan! (Click on the photo to view and download the pattern.)

Our CAL host will be Kendra! She works at the Lion Brand Yarn Studio and is a crochet and knitting instructor, so she will have plenty of great insights for you. Click here to learn more about her. Look for her first post on Thursday, April 8. Until then, think about which supplies you’ll need and in which color you’ll be making this versatile cardigan! If you’re in the New York City area, stop by the Lion Brand Yarn Studio to see our version made in Nature’s Choice Organic Cotton in Khaki.

Have a blog or website? Add this badge to show that you’re participating! Right click or Ctrl+click on Macs to save the image to your computer; then upload it to your blog.

This is the postin on the Lion Brand Blog.  While on the website i also found a Beach Cover-Up Pullover which is just as nice. I like both, so I am torn between which one to crochet, or I may just have to crochet both :)

Here are the Pictures side by side...the one on the left is the cardigan and the one on the right is the pullover.  Let me know what you think.
