Anything Knitted and Crocheted

Welcome to my blog. I hope to blog about my knitting and crocheting as well as everyday life. The patterns that I post are original and as such there is copyright on them. When they are based on another pattern there is a link to the pattern.

My husband and I adopted a beautiful dog named Leo. He is a dachshund and absolutely adorable! we adopted him on June 23, 2010 and he has become the love of our lives.

I love to share patterns that I find along the way or to talk about some of the neatest designers that are out there today, so I love to post links to the designs or the designers.

So grab a cup a and sit and enjoy the blog.

Check these out for Earth Day (April 22, 2010)

Earth Day Patterns & Yarns
Kids'
Knit Earth Day Tote In honor of Earth Day, why not plan a crafting day in the park?

Gather your friends and family and enjoy some sunshine and fun! Try projects like reusable market bags (replace those plastic bags!) and dishtowels (less paper towels thrown away!).

You can also expand your yarn repertoire and use recycled and organic yarns like Recycled Cotton, which is made from clippings from the manufacture of t-shirts that would otherwise be thrown away, or Nature's Choice Organic Cotton, undyed Lion Organic Cotton, and LB Collection Organic Wool. All of our organic yarns are grown (and the sheep are raised) without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or other chemicals, and the dyes used are certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard by the Institute of Marketecology.
