Anything Knitted and Crocheted

Welcome to my blog. I hope to blog about my knitting and crocheting as well as everyday life. The patterns that I post are original and as such there is copyright on them. When they are based on another pattern there is a link to the pattern.

My husband and I adopted a beautiful dog named Leo. He is a dachshund and absolutely adorable! we adopted him on June 23, 2010 and he has become the love of our lives.

I love to share patterns that I find along the way or to talk about some of the neatest designers that are out there today, so I love to post links to the designs or the designers.

So grab a cup a and sit and enjoy the blog.

Patterns from Bernat Yarns....love the Owl!

Hooray for Crochet!

Crocheters of the world, stand up and be counted! If you love the possibilities inherent in a hook and some yarn, this is for you. March is National Crochet Month! And this gives us just one more reason to go outside and show the world that crochet is here to stay.
Take a moment to appreciate the tradition behind crochet, and to thank the mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers who passed this fine legacy on. This month we can also look forward to the possibilities of crochet. You may not be a yarn artist covering light poles and buildings, but you can still make a statement. Head to your local park or coffee shop and craft in public! Bring friends! Show the world that we're here and we're not stopping until the world is blanketed in granny squares.
Not yet a crocheter? Pick up a hook and join the movement today!
What other crafts can you drop at a second's notice and pick up again without losing a stitch? Don't leave those ends hanging, crochet them in as you go! Quick and easy finishing at its finest.
From the adorable delights of itty bitty amigirumi to the chunky afghan you can whip up in a day, the possibilities never end.
No matter how you hold your hook, raise it up in honor of the timeless art of crochet!
