Anything Knitted and Crocheted

Welcome to my blog. I hope to blog about my knitting and crocheting as well as everyday life. The patterns that I post are original and as such there is copyright on them. When they are based on another pattern there is a link to the pattern.

My husband and I adopted a beautiful dog named Leo. He is a dachshund and absolutely adorable! we adopted him on June 23, 2010 and he has become the love of our lives.

I love to share patterns that I find along the way or to talk about some of the neatest designers that are out there today, so I love to post links to the designs or the designers.

So grab a cup a and sit and enjoy the blog.

Well today is a big day...it is my birthday.

I always get a bit introspective at this time of year. This last year has been rough on me physically and emotionally.

I have been in and out of the hospital for various reasons, such as:
  • kidney infection disguised as the flu, which then had me dehydrated
  • Having some differences of opinions with family members
  • IBS-D (Irritable Bowell Syndrome with Diarrhea dominance
  • Stitches to my upper lip after a bad tumble (no I wasn't drunk, just tired)
  • Torn Rotator Cuff with the added bonus of a frozen shoulder, due to the carelessness of a friend who was driving me home.
I have some really good things to report to.
  • I met my in-laws, who for the most part were very accepting of me. Won't go into any further than that though.
  • I have done more traveling in the last couple of years (Southern Scotland/Northern England in 2007, Niagara Falls in 2008) I would love to do more traveling soon.
  • I am learning how to speak up for myself and not let others railroad me so to speak.
  • I was able to locate my beautiful daughter that I hadn't seen since she was 5 years old, she is now 21.
  • Developing relationships with family members.
  • I have been sober for 3 1/2 years and counting.
  • I have a loving husband who has helped through all the trials and tribulations of the last couple of years. I love you honey! (not sure he even reads this blog).
I have many blessings and this is the day that I take a look at those many blessing. The health and family issues have been made easier by having this wonderful person in my life. He is a true blessing.
