My husband and I adopted a beautiful dog named Leo. He is a dachshund and absolutely adorable! we adopted him on June 23, 2010 and he has become the love of our lives.

I love to share patterns that I find along the way or to talk about some of the neatest designers that are out there today, so I love to post links to the designs or the designers.

LITTLE JACK SKELLINGTON SNOWMAN



LITTLE JACK SKELLINGTON SNOWMAN

Size: About 3 inches tall.

Materials:
Worsted weight yarn
Small amount white and black for eyes and vest
G crochet hook
B crochet Hook (for eyes and vest)
Fiberfill
Yarn needle.

Note:
Scfp-single crochet in the front post of next sc
Scbp-single crochet in the back post of next sc

Starting at bottom with white, ch 2
Rnd 1: 6 Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join, mark beg of rnds.
Rnd 2: 2 Sc in each sc around: 12.
Rnd 3: * Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around: 18.
Rnds 4-6: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 7: * Sc next 2 sc together; rep from * around: 9.
Rnd 8: Sc in each sc around.
Stuff firmly
Rnd 9: * Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around: 6
Rnd 10: 2 Sc in each sc around: 3.
Rnds 11: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 12: 2 Sc in each sc around: 6
Rnd 13: * Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around: 9.
Rnd 14: * Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around: 14.
Rnd 15: * 2 sc in next sc; Sc in next 5 sc, rep from * around: 16.
Rnd 16: Sc in each sc around: 16
Rnd 17: * Sc next 2 sc together; sc in the next 5 sc, sc next 2 sc together: rep from * around: 14
Rnd 18: * Sc in the next 2 sc, sc next 2 sc together; rep from * around: 9.
Rnd 19: * Sc in the next sc, sc next 2 sc together; rep from * around: 6.
Rnd 20: * Sc in the next 2 sc, rep from * around: 3.
Fasten off white and sew in ends.

Vest:
With black, Chain 21
Row 1: Sc across: 20
Row 2: Sc in the next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in the next 8 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, sc to the end: 22
Row 3: Sc in the next 5 sc, scfp, sc in the next 10 sc, scfp, sc to the end
Row 4: Sc in the next 5 sc, scbp, sc in the next 10 sc, scbp, sc to the end
Row 5: Sc in the next 5 sc, scfp, sc in the next 10 sc, scfp, sc to the end
Row 6: Sc in the next 5 sc, scbp, sc in the next 10 sc, scbp, sc to the end

Eyes:
With smaller hook and black, chain 2.
Rnd 1: 8 Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with a slip stitch, fasten off.

Collar
Row 1: With smaller hook, attach yarn in the back loop of the foundation chain, chain 3, slip stitch in the chains just made, slip stitch in the stitch that yarn was attached; slip stitch in the next stitch, chain 3, slip stitch in the chains just made, slip stitch in the stitch that yarn was attached; continue along the foundation chain adjusting the length of chains along the way.

Finishing:
With black, embroider Jack’s mouth. Attach a hanger to top of hat for hanging snowman on tree.
