Anything Knitted and Crocheted

Welcome to my blog. I hope to blog about my knitting and crocheting as well as everyday life. The patterns that I post are original and as such there is copyright on them. When they are based on another pattern there is a link to the pattern.

My husband and I adopted a beautiful dog named Leo. He is a dachshund and absolutely adorable! we adopted him on June 23, 2010 and he has become the love of our lives.

I love to share patterns that I find along the way or to talk about some of the neatest designers that are out there today, so I love to post links to the designs or the designers.

So grab a cup a and sit and enjoy the blog.

Eyelet Rib Tank

I picked up a copy of the July 2009 Creative Knitting Magazine and fell in love with this top, actually with several of the tops this issue. If you want the issues it is available until the end of June before the September issue comes out.

The design called for Lion Brand's Cotton-Ease of which I had ordered 10 balls of Lime, a beautiful green. It is described as Granny smith apple green (pictured at left).
I just finished one ball if it and got 6" completed. I decided to measure a favorite top from armhole to the edge of the top which measured out to 16". I wanted a tunic length. I am also thinking af adding some sleeves to the design. I will have to see once I try it on.

I am still having issues with lifting my injured right arm above my head.

Here are some of the other tops that I have fallen in love with.

1) Gentle Lace
Design by Celeste Pinheiro
A lovely topper for a dress or tank, knit from the top for easy fit!

2) Flirty Top
Design by Ann E. Smith
The modest bodice balances a lacy lower skirt for fun!

3) Cabled Sunshine
Design by Kathy Perry
The cables speak softly in a delightful top accented with pearl buttons.

4) Cabled Edge Top
Design by Melissa Leapman
Generous cabled ribs grace the borders of a sweater for office or afterward.
