Earth Day Patterns & Yarns | |
In honor of Earth Day, why not plan a crafting day in the park? Gather your friends and family and enjoy some sunshine and fun! Try projects like reusable market bags (replace those plastic bags!) and dishtowels (less paper towels thrown away!). You can also expand your yarn repertoire and use recycled and organic yarns like Recycled Cotton, which is made from clippings from the manufacture of t-shirts that would otherwise be thrown away, or Nature's Choice Organic Cotton, undyed Lion Organic Cotton, and LB Collection Organic Wool. All of our organic yarns are grown (and the sheep are raised) without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or other chemicals, and the dyes used are certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard by the Institute of Marketecology. |
